WKU-Indiana GigaPan

Football Panoramic

In addition to the timelapse and remote camera setup, we also carted the GigaPan down to the stadium for Saturday’s game. Bryan got the system set up & shot during the first quarter when the stadium was at it’s fullest. Zoom in and take a look… I found myself, maybe you’re in there as well! Take a snapshot and share with your friends!

WKU-Indiana Timelapse

WKU-Indiana Sunset

This is the best one yet! We set up this sequence early and let it run from 1pm to around 7:45 capturing the entire day of activity in Houchens-Smith Stadium. We were glad to see a full crowd and the weather was perfect! Enjoy!

New Timelapse

Checking my setup on the Grise Hall rooftop. Photo by Matt Powell.

Experimenting with new techniques is always fun and a good exercise for keeping things looking new. Wednesday I set up a remote camera to take a photo every 15 seconds for almost 8 hours, and here is the result compressed down to 2 minutes! Enjoy!

2010 Opening Convocation

Dr. Ransdell met with all the WKU faculty & staff yesterday morning for his annual Opening Convocation, where he had the opportunity to update the campus community on construction projects, budget concerns and the direction of WKU. We also heard from the new Provost, Gordon Emslie & new VP of Research, Gordon Baylis. For the last two weeks, I have been producing the large slideshow that ran in the background. You can download a copy of it here. Good luck this year Hilltoppers!

Class of 2014

Class of 2014

The majority of this year’s freshman class began MASTER Plan this week, preparing for their first year of college. We were able to wrangle them together immediately following their opening Convocation with Dr. Ransdell to spell out 2014… Good luck guys!

Spring on the Hill

Spring has finally arrived on the Hill and provided us with seemingly infinite possibilities for photos on campus. It’s a true blessing when the whole campus is your office!

WKU-UK

The WKU Hilltoppers paid a visit to UK on Saturday for a first-ever meeting between the teams. Commonwealth Stadium was filled to capacity to watch the Hilltoppers continue their transition into Division 1A football.

It was great to get back on the sidelines… it’s been too long since my last football game. Great to see old friends and co-workers, too.
