It’s been awhile since we used the GigaPan, but we had a great opportunity on Saturday for Commencement. Bryan did this shot during the 3pm ceremony of Potter College, Gordon Ford Business College and University College.

Spring Commencement #2

The Commencement celebrations continued into the afternoon with Potter College of Arts & Letters, Gordon Ford College of Business, University College and Bowling Green Community College taking the stage at Diddle Arena.

Spring Commencement #1

WKU graduated a record number of students this weekend during the 167th Commencement ceremonies at Diddle Arena. The morning ceremony consisted of the College of Education and Behavioral Sciences, Ogden College of Science and Engineering and the College of Health and Human Services.

WKU graduate Vicki Phillips, a native of Falls of Rough who works as director of Education, College Ready in the United States Program for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, received an honorary Doctor of Public Service degree during Saturday morning’s ceremony. In her career as a teacher, superintendent and state education administrator, Phillips has remained committed to increasing educational opportunities for young people.

Also at the morning ceremony, Maj. Gen. Arthur Bartell, commanding general of U.S. Army Cadet Command, administered the oath of office to eight WKU cadets. As commanding officer, Bartell is responsible for Cadet Command at 253 universities and more than 20,000 cadets. Lt. Col. Jason Caldwell, professor of Military Science and Leadership, said Bartell wanted to participate in WKU’s commissioning after hearing about the enthusiastic support cadets receive during commencement.

Spring Graduate Commencement

Western Kentucky University’s 167th Commencement began Friday night as more than 500 graduate students were recognized at Diddle Arena.

WKU presented 503 master’s degrees, 11 specialist degrees and six recipients of cooperative doctoral degrees in chemistry and educational administration offered cooperatively by WKU and University of Louisville

Gatton Academy Commencement

The Gatton Academy for Mathematics & Science in Kentucky held its third graduation ceremony today in the newly renovated VanMeter Auditorium. The class consisted of 51 students from all reaches of the state. Congrats!!
