Aviation History

We have had an eventful few days with Hilltopper supporter and Vietnam War veteran Dan Cherry. His story begins over 30 years ago when he was flying his F4 Phantom over Vietnam and engaged pilot Hong My in a dogfight in which My’s plane was shot down. Now, decades later, the two pilots have become friends and are embarking on a whirlwind tour throughout the US speaking of their friendship. First was the dedication of the Bowling Green/Warren County Aviation History Park on Thursday and a ceremonial tree planting here on campus yesterday.
