Bronze

Tuesday afternoons in the Art Dept. are hot… literally. For the rest of the semester, upper level art classes are working with molten bronze and other metals making sculptures and bronze casts of their artwork. To get the bronze liquified, they have to melt it in a special furnace that sounds like a jet engine and burns at 2000 degrees. The entire process is fascinating!
